Price Value Quality Won't fold properly, grommets ripped right off when left out overnight and apparently strong wind blew through. Terrible support, no replacement parts. So disappointed.

- No Replacement parts?
-
Value Quality Price I have had the unfortunate luck of one of our volunteers losing the poles on our 7' catch net on the field.
The sad part is that Easton ( a so-called "leader" in the industry) offers no replacement parts to their product. The customer service representative referred me to speak to the company that this was purchase from to order relacement parts.
Franklin, who I would consider a more "economical" alternative offers replacements for purchase online, from now on I will stick to brands that take care of their customers not ones that seek to pass the buck when something goes wrong.
BAD EASTON!Review by hbcoach1 (Posted on 3/27/12)
- Broke soon, no replacement parts, poor customer service
-
Value Quality Price I like the concept of the net and it does work. However, after about 5 times of use, one of the pulls bent. Also one of the rubber stops pulled out. This largely made the net unusable as it won't stand up well and constantly falls over. Called Easton to get a replacement pole and was told by Customer Service that I had to call the Warranty Department. Called the Warranty Department and got their "Call Center" - not Easton itself. They said they had just received another call with a similar problem, that Easton could not help me, and that I should try to use "Google" to find a spare part. Tried Google but no luck. Very disappointed in Easton Customer Service!!!!!

- No replacement parts

Value Quality Price I bought this net and one of the pole broke and I lost the other one. There is no way to get replacement parts. The person I talked to from Easton simple said I am sorry I can't help you, I would check at a hardware store. I asked if she could get me the dimensions and she said they don't have those available. Not very help full. Really disappointed in the customers service.

- Horrible

Price Value Quality I had one of these nets for my son when he was inlittle league. I coached and used it for our team for 6 years. We wore it out and had to purchase another one. I just recently purchased a new one. What did Easton do to current nets. IT IS HORRIBLE!!!!! We used it twice and now it will not stand up. I had to used tent stakes to hold it up. Go back to old design. SUGGESTION TO OTHER CONSUMERS DON'T PURCHASE. How can I get my money back from Easton. Merchant will not help me.

Quality Price Value I've had this product for 3 years and it has worked very well for me. Though I have used it a lot (3 boys, ages 6, 8, 12), I have mostly kept it out of the elements, using it mostly in my garage or basement though I occasionally use it at outdoor team practices. The only issue I have ever had with it is the carrying bag. The zipper is now damaged so there is no way to close it tight. The initial damage on the zipper was probably done by another coach who was putting it away for me. I bought mine on sale and with a coupon at Sports Authority for $75 so I can’t complain about the price. I have used it along side a similar sized Jugs net which would have cost me about double the price. The Jugs is a good product as well, but the Jugs net is a lot more difficult to close and open than the Easton net. I do wish I could get a replacement carrying bag to ensure that I continue to get the most out of the net. I am hoping for a few more years out of this product.

- Difficult to fold
-
Value Quality Price Okay net but this is very difficult to fold back into the carrier. Poles bend when you try to follow the directions. Not worth the cost.

- nice, but...
-
Quality Price Value I have set up and taken down this net several dozen times with no problems....until this last time. I folded it the same way I always do but the metal flex framing inside decided to bend this time instead of collapsing. It won't bend back, the net is essentially "broken".
Review by Keith (Posted on 9/20/11)
- Good product, if you know how to use it
-
Price Value Quality I love the net. Aparently I'm fortunate to not have lost any parts. Unfortunately, every time someone else tries to fold the net up, they twist the metal frame. The net is a bear trying to get it back untwisted. The first time I found instructions online how to untwist. Cant find them now. Easton, could you please support this product a little better!!

Value Quality Price got this net for hitting practice for my sons ,ages 14 and 16. bought this 4 months ago and the net now has several holes in it. tried to sting it together with rope, no go.do not purchase this if you want it to last. The net is made of poor material and the attachment pins for poles break. Does not easily fold up for kids...save your money ....

- Crappy product!
-
Price Value Quality Giving this product a one star rating is generous. It wasn't long after I got this thing out of the box and set it up that I had to go to the hardware store. A light wind easily blows it over so I needed some rope to anchor it back to a fence post. After a few good solid hits (or throws) the poles collapse and need duct tape to keep them together. But that's not my real gripe. I bought this net last spring and my son used it until we stored for the winter. I set it up again this spring and the first ball went right through the net!! It is now riddled with repaired holes and completely useless. I would expect that kind of quality from something that cost less than $50. I paid $139!! And the last Easton product I will ever buy! Thanks Easton for testing your product before putting it on the street.

Quality Price Value This works well at first, until you need to get new parts. The poles seem to be the only issue. The net has held up very well for several seasons (Spring, Summer and Fall). Wish Easton would sell parts for this.
Review by Ball Coach (Posted on 3/27/11)
- No parts ?
-
Price Value Quality Same as many other reviews. I just need a replacement that goes in the end of one of the poles. Sounds like that will be impossible to replace due to eastons poor customer service ? Easton, is anyone there to support this replacement? Maybe would should post this issue on social networks so the word gets out about Easton's poor customer service.

Price Value Quality All I need is one pole with pin. Love the net. We use it in our garage, at practices and have travelled all over the West Coast with it. Anyone out there have a functional pole with pin they would sell us?

Price Value Quality LOVED this at first. It folded up nicely but now it no longer folds up well and lost of the poles so it's useless. Hate to throw it out now but does not look like i can find a replacement pole.

- Great until something needs to be replaced
-
Price Value Quality I've had this net for three years, it is a great net and works well. Unfortunately Easton does a poor job offering replacement parts for their stuff. Nets like these are invaluable for getting lots of swings in a small space, and I highly recommend a net like this. If your thinking about this one, though, look for a brand and company that is willing to service the customer after the sale. Easton is not interested in providing a product that will "last a lifetime" they much prefer you buy a new one even though the old one just needs a simple part. The lack of service after the sale has driven me away from Easton products. I have a garage full of Easton equipment that needs a simple pin, hook, screw, lens, or replacement pad to be fully functional but after multiple emails and calls I realize they are simply not interested in providing their customers any support with regards to replacement parts. Never Again will I buy Easton products.

- Very Disappointed
-
Price Value Quality I love the net, but it is useless with out the end pins. I bought the net 2 months ago. It is now useless because one of my coaches lost the end cap/pin. It is a terrific value if I were able to replace the part(s) be it poles or end-pieces. Without that ability this net is a terrible value because parts get lost/broken.

- Good Product - Net Problems
-
Price Value Quality This has been a mainstay in the backyard and has had thousands of soft toss balls hit into it. I have had it for less than a year and the net is starting to rip. It first started at the bottom, and now in the middle. Sports Authority won't take it back, and according to the Easton website, they do not honor product returns. Will try to duct tape it. At less than a dollar a day, I guess this was worth it, but wish it would last longer.

- BUYER BEWARE
-
Price Value Quality Bought the net for my 7 year old. First of all...any slight breeze blows it all over the place even with the stakes in the ground...it is beyond aggravating trying to fold it. Even after watching multiple youtube videos...gave up and returned to store. Incredibly disappointed with the entire experience with the product.

Price Value Quality I also enjoyed this with my sons until a pin went missing. I contacted Easton and they do not have the part to supply. I find that crazy that they can not sell us replacement poles. We used this item only 5 months leaves a bad taste in the mouth from Easton.

Value Quality Price I have been using this for almost a year and it was great until one of the support pins broke off and disappeared. the entire net doesn't work without this. I'm hoping Easton will replace this for free so i can get back to work. I had pop up that lasted 10 plus years and I'mhoping the quality on this one is comparable.

Value Quality Price great tool for my son to hit all hit wants in the backyard but the poles continue to bend (which will no longer hold the net up), this is the second set we have used. If easton won't replace them then I will try to make something of my own that will be more reliable.

- im goin into 7th grae which means babe ruth and hopefull modified baseball for school and im already saving up for a abt and has had a reflex and other easton (really liked them) but is this a good bat or what r some others i should think about
- The Reflex is a good bat to start off with, especially if you have not had an Easton before. There are a lot of other bats that you can try to see which would best suit you. There are the higher end full alloy bat, S3, which is a one-piece bat. There is the S2, a two-piece bat with a composite handle and alloy barrel and then the S1 two-piece bat, full composite. In reality it is a personal preference on which bat will ultimately be the bat for you. Check with a local sporting goods store near you for the Easton bat of your choice.
- What is the advantage of scandium alloy as apposed to a one piece bat?
- The question isn't quite clear. However, if you are inquiring over the one piece full alloy versus the two-piece half alloy, half composite, we can certainly assist you. The one-piece is an advantage to power hitters, because of the stiff flex of the bat, where there is a slight flex to a two-piece bat. The two-piece bat also has a connection part that reduces vibration to the hitters hand, these are a few of the main features to a two-piece bat. If you should need any more information, please let us know.

- are they sunglasses
- Yes. These are sunglasses.
- Is there a break period for the Power Brigade S1 youth?
- No. EASTON composite bats do not need to be broke in. We do not recommend physically altering the bat in any manner for use in any game under the jurisdiction or sponsorship of an association or organization that has set standards for the performance of bats. This will nullify your warranty and will not increase the performance.

- This is not normal for rattling to occur within any bat. We would consider this a manufacturers defect, please submit a claim on your Warranty and get it replaced. Sometimes this does not affect the performance of the bat and can still be used for play, however we would suggest that it be taken care of ASAP.

- Hi, I recently purchased a 14" natural elite glove and was wondering whether Easton had a recommended method for breaking in the glove. I picked up some glove oil but read that some manufacturers don't recommend this process.
- Care and Break In of your Glove
1. Pour a small amount of Easton Ball Glove Conditioner or Glove Oil on a clean dry cloth and carefully work the oil around the outer shell palm and back. A light coating is all that is necessary.
2. Allow the glove to dry thoroughly for 24 hrs.
3. Wipe off any excess oil and play catch for 10-15 minutes or 50-70 throws. This stretches and forms the glove to your hand and speeds the break in process.
4. Put a ball in the pocket of the glove and tie the glove closed for a few days with a string or rubber band.
5. Laces will stretch with use. Keep the laces taut but do not over tighten.
