Price Value Quality I have been catching now for 12 years and I know a good set of gear when I see one. The Surge Guards are by far the worst leg guards i have ever worn, when i would run with them on the shins would start to wrap around my leg and start to fall and go under my cleats and almost made me trip. This would happen every time i wore them. I believe that this happens because the outer shell of the guard does not contour to the leg as well as the old Stealth "comp" or the new Stealth "speed" which both have a full shell that contours to your leg very well. I would not recommend these guards to any serious catcher.
