The UMass Minutemen baseball team represents the University of Massachusetts Amherst in NCAA Division I. The nickname is also applied to club teams that do not participate within the NCAA structure. Strictly speaking, the Minutemen nickname applies to men’s teams and athletes only; women’s teams and athletes are known as Minutewomen. The Minutemen compete in the Atlantic 10 Conference.

The Minutemen have made two College World Series appearances in 1954, 1969.

Over the years, the University of Massachusetts has sent more than 60 players into professional baseball, with 18 former Minutemen advancing to the major leagues. Included in the list are pitchers Jeff Reardon, a two-time All-Star, Mike Flanagan, the 1979 American League Cy Young Award winner, and Gary DiSarcina, who played in 1086 games in an 11 year career.

The Minutemen are coached by Mike Stone and play all home games at Earl Lorden Field.
